Jakarta Trip 2019

International Office held a “Jakarta Trip”, starting from 22 to 24 November 2019. The participants were the exchange students, International Office’s volunteers and staff.

On the first day, the participants went to Dunia Fantasi (DUFAN), Ancol to experience the thrill and enjoy all the rides. After that, the exchange students and volunteers went to Nasi Goreng Kambing Kebon Sirih for dinner.

On the next day, all participants went to MONAS (National Monument) to learn about Indonesian history by looking at the miniature in the History Museum inside MONAS. Then, they headed to Masjid Istiqlal (Istiqlal Mosque), the largest mosque in Southeast Asia, and Gereja Katedral Indonesia (St. Mary of the Assumption Cathedral) by using Bajaj, one of traditional transportations in Jakarta. Later on, they went to Wisata Kota Tua to have lunch and visited Museum Wayang. At night, they went to Grand Indonesia for dinner.

On the last day, the participants went to Car Free Day at Sudirman in the morning. After that, they went to Ragunan Zoo. The participants had lunch at Plaza Blok M. Later, they had free time before returning to Bandung.

That was a great experience for the participants, especially for the exchange students because it is their first time to go to Jakarta and use public transportations such as Busway (Transjakarta), MRT, and Bajaj.
