Bandung at a Glance

Bandung, the provincial capital of West Java, is a city covering 16,730 hectares with a population at around 2.5 millions. Bandung lies at the altitude of 900 meters above sea level with a tropical climate and temperature of around 24 degree Celcius.
Bandung is about 140 kilometers from Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia, which is about 2.5 hours by car via the toll road or 3 hours by train.

The city is surrounded by mountains, such as Mt. Tangkuban Perahu, Mt. Malabar, Mt. Burangrang and many others.
Thanks to the beautiful panorama and hospitality of the people.
Bandung was known as “Parijs van Java” during the colonial times.
Also, Bandung is often reffered to as the Flower City.
